Empowered Accountability, Prosperous Development: KPKT Secretary General Officiates the Federal Government Fund Project Management Strengthening Programme 2026

The Secretary General of the Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT), YBhg. Datuk Wira Dr. M Noor Azman bin Taib, officiated the Closing Ceremony of the Federal Government Fund Project Management Strengthening Programme for the Year 2026, held at the Crystal Hall, Level B1, KPKT.

The successfully conducted programme was jointly organised by the Housing and Local Government Training Institute (I-KPKT) and the KPKT Internal Audit Unit (UAD). The core mission of the programme is to empower governance and project management of Federal Government Funds at the ministry, implementing agency, and Local Authority (PBT) levels, in line with the improvement recommendations submitted by the KPKT UAD.

A Work Culture Based on Integrity & Efficiency

Themed “Empowered Accountability, Prosperous Development”, the programme served as an important platform to reinforce a work culture based on integrity, accountability, and best governance in public fund management. This step is critical to ensure that every government allocation is utilised efficiently, transparently, and delivers maximum impact for the well-being of the people.

Comprehensive Sessions

Throughout the one-day programme, which was conducted in a hybrid format, participants were exposed to intensive expertise across various management sessions, including:

  • Session 1: Procurement Management – Delivered by Dr. Farida binti Veerankutty (Head of the Internal Audit Unit, KPKT).
  • Session 2: Project Management – Delivered by Mrs Noor Akmal Ayuni binti Zamri (Assistant Engineer, Internal Audit Unit, KPKT).
  • Monitoring and Reporting Session – Divided into specific sessions guided by the Local Government Department (JKT), the National Housing Department (JPN), and the Community Well-being Division (BSK).

The programme concluded with a keynote address and the official closing ceremony by YBhg. Datuk Wira, the Secretary General of KPKT, before adjourning at 4.30 pm.

Encouraging Response via a Hybrid Format

This year’s organisation received a highly encouraging response, with an overall attendance of over 350 participants. This group of participants comprised representatives from PBTs, implementing agencies, as well as heads of departments and divisions under the KPKT umbrella nationwide.
