Merdeka Spirit & Environmental Sustainability: I-KPKT Staff Successfully Organise Merdeka Expedition to Cameron Highlands
In conjunction with enlivening National Month, the Housing and Local Government Training Institute (I-KPKT) organised the I-KPKT Merdeka Expedition to Cameron Highlands from 27 to 28 August 2026. This two-day, one-night programme combined a patriotic convoy activity with environmental conservation efforts alongside I-KPKT staff.
Patriotic Convoy
The expedition commenced on Thursday, 27 August 2026, with a convoy flag-off session at the Block A Lobby, I-KPKT, at 10.00 am. The vehicular convoy carrying I-KPKT personnel journeyed in an orderly manner to their accommodation at Heritage Hotel Cameron Highlands, Pahang.

Plogging Activity at Dataran Brinchang
On the second day, 28 August 2026, the programme focused on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities through plogging (litter picking while walking/jogging) at Dataran Brinchang and its surrounding areas. Beginning at 9.00 am following a safety and briefing session, participants clad in official I-KPKT attire joined forces to clean the popular public venue. This initiative not only strengthened camaraderie among staff members, but also raised awareness on the importance of maintaining environmental cleanliness across the nation’s resort destinations.
