Enlivening Environmental Sustainability: I-KPKT Staff Participate in Malaysia Clean-Up Day 2026 Programme in Bentong Prima
In support of ongoing efforts to maintain the cleanliness and vibrancy of public surroundings, a team of staff from the Housing and Local Government Training Institute (I-KPKT) participated in the Malaysia Clean-Up Day 2026 Programme held at the Bentong Prima Commercial Centre on Saturday, 26 September 2026.
This noble initiative was organised to foster community awareness on the importance of maintaining hygiene, while rejuvenating public infrastructure through voluntary action and a spirit of mutual assistance (gotong-royong).

Programme Highlights & Maintenance Tasks
The programme, which commenced as early as 7.30 am, featured a range of high-impact community activities:
- Warming-Up & Aerobics Session: The activity kicked off with an aerobics session to energise participants and foster team spirit before the cleaning and fieldwork activities began.
- Opening Address & Cleaning Briefing: The event was graced with an opening address by the representative of YH. Dato’ President (Yang Dipertua), followed by a briefing on safety procedures and communal work management delivered by the Manager of the Solid Waste and Public Cleansing Management Corporation (SWCorp) Bentong.
- Communal Cleaning Activity: Participants joined hands to collect and segregate litter around the commercial premises to ensure the surroundings remained clean and safe.
- Street Kerb Painting Task: The I-KPKT team joined forces to repaint the street kerbs in black and white. This step not only conferred a fresher and tidier look to the surroundings, but also enhanced the visibility of parking line demarcations for motorists’ safety.
Through this active participation, I-KPKT remains committed to supporting various public environmental cleanliness initiatives in line with the aspirations of the Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT) to create a clean, beautiful, and sustainable community ecosystem.
