Discussion on the Proposed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) Between I-KPKT and WMAM

A discussion session regarding the proposed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was held on Friday, 23 January 2026, at the Headquarters of the Waste Management Association of Malaysia (WMAM).

This session was attended by the Director of I-KPKT and the Chairman of WMAM, along with senior officers from both organisations.

Among the main highlights of the discussion were:
Strategic Collaboration: Coordination of speakers and the organising of seminars in the fields of solid waste management and public cleansing.
Resource Sharing: Proposed use of I-KPKT facilities for training and related activities.
Legal Process: Preparation of the draft MoU by I-KPKT for presentation at the WMAM Exco Meeting, and subsequently at the LPI Meeting for final approval.

Both parties are committed to ensuring that the signing process of this MoU is fully realised in 2026, in order to empower the quality of the nation’s solid waste management services.
