I-KPKT Advisory Board Meeting No. 1/2026 1/2026

YBhg. Datuk Wira Dr. M Noor Azman Taib, Secretary General of KPKT, chaired the Housing and Local Government Training Institute (I-KPKT) Advisory Board Meeting No. 1/2026 on 14 January 2026 at the Berlian Meeting Room, KPKT. This strategic meeting was also attended by the Deputy Director General of Public Service (Development), Deputy Secretary General (Planning and Sustainable Environment), Deputy Secretary General (Housing Development and Community Wellbeing), Deputy Secretary General (Management), Directors General of Departments (JKT, JPN, JPSPN, JLN), an INTAN representative, the Dean of SOG UUM, and senior KPKT officers to discuss the training direction and human capital empowerment of the housing and local government sectors.

Among the main highlights of the meeting was the presentation of I-KPKT’s outstanding performance for the year 2025, which recorded a surge in participation of over 100% with an attendance of 10,676 participants, as well as the successful completion of the I-KPKT landscape environment project in collaboration with JLN. Furthermore, the meeting also touched upon the implementation of the Solid Waste Management Intellectual Course (SOSMIC) programme, a high-impact programme at I-KPKT scheduled to commence in February 2026. This programme is specifically designed to support the Public Cleansing Reform agenda under the 13th Malaysia Plan (RMKe-13).

For the year 2026, the training plan has been streamlined by integrating feedback from the State Secretary’s Offices (SUK) to ensure the courses offered meet the current competency needs of the Local Authorities (PBT), thereby ensuring I-KPKT remains on the right track to drive organisational excellence.
