I-KPKT’s Success in Securing the Promising Innovation Award in Conjunction with the KPKT Innovation Day Celebration 2026

The Housing and Local Government Training Institute (I-KPKT) achieved notable success as its Greenovasi Team secured the Promising Innovation Award (Anugerah Inovasi Harapan) under the Division/Unit Category at the Ministry of Housing and Local Government Innovation Day Celebration (HIKPKT) 2026, held on 1 October 2026 at the Crystal Hall, KPKT.

The award was conferred for the project titled “Green Innovation in Road Construction: Utilising Single-Use Plastic Waste as an Additive Material”, which highlights an innovative approach to reusing plastic waste as a road construction additive in line with the circular economy agenda and sustainable solid waste management.

HIKPKT 2026 featured nine contest categories with a total of 54 innovation project entries, comprising 43 Innovative and Creative Circle (KIK) projects and 11 Minister’s Innovation Award (AIM) projects. The event aimed to recognise the creativity and innovation of KPKT personnel in enhancing public service delivery efficiency while fostering a culture of innovation within the organisation.

This victory earned the I-KPKT Greenovasi Team a trophy, a certificate of appreciation, and a cash prize of RM1,000. This achievement reflects I-KPKT’s commitment to strengthening an innovation culture, exploring creative solutions, and supporting the development of sustainable green practices.
