Strengthening Research Cooperation: I-KPKT Receives Working Visit & Strategic Discussion Session from UiTM Shah Alam
The Housing and Local Government Training Institute (I-KPKT) received a working visit and strategic discussion session from representatives of the Faculty of Built Environment, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Shah Alam at I-KPKT.

Main Focus of Research Discussions
This bilateral discussion session was specially held to explore smart collaboration opportunities in research and development (R&D) between both parties. Among the key matters discussed were:
- Exploration of Research Grants: Understanding the types of research grants offered at UiTM to support joint research projects.
- Research Collaboration Network: Establishing a strategic cooperation framework between academia and a government training agency.
- Focus on Potential Research Topics: Focusing on critical public sector issues such as real estate, affordable housing, local community development, and effective built environment fields.
Aligned with UiTM Strategic Plan & 13MP
This strategic collaboration is expected to empower research impact and strengthen industry networks in line with the goals of the UiTM Strategic Plan 2026–2030 and the focus of the 13th Malaysia Plan (13MP).
The Management of I-KPKT warmly welcomes this initiative from UiTM Shah Alam and hopes that the synergy between academic expertise and public training services will help realise sustainable housing policies and local government development for the well-being of the people.
