Synergy of Art & Smart Collaboration: I-KPKT and IIUM Conclude the 2026 Mural Project Closing Ceremony
The Housing and Local Government Training Institute (I-KPKT), in collaboration with the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), marked the successful conclusion of its premises beautification initiative through the Closing Ceremony of the I-KPKT Building Mural Project 2026 on Friday, 14 August 2026. Held at 10.30 am at Block F, I-KPKT, the ceremony served as an official token of appreciation to celebrate the successful strategic partnership between both organisations.
Event Highlights & Officiating Gimmick
- 🖌️Final Brushstroke Gimmick: The climax of the ceremony featured an officiating gimmick where the Director of I-KPKT, YBrs. Mr Adel Al Hashir bin Kamalal Hashir, alongside the Dean of the Kulliyyah of Architecture and Environmental Design (KAED) IIUM, YBhg. Prof. Dr. Mariana Mohamed Osman, applied the final brushstrokes to the Hibiscus (Bunga Raya) petal motif on the mural.
- 🔑 Official Site Handover Session: The ceremony also witnessed an official site handover session by YBhg. Prof. Dr. Mariana Mohamed Osman on behalf of KAED IIUM to the management of I-KPKT, symbolising the formal handover of the fully completed mural artwork.
- 📜 Presentation of Certificates of Appreciation: The Director of I-KPKT presented special certificates of appreciation to the leadership of KAED IIUM and the students who demonstrated exceptional creativity and dedication throughout the project.
- 🤝 Strengthening Bonds of Fellowship: The event concluded with a commemorative group photo session against the backdrop of the newly painted mural, followed by a networking lunch with staff and invited guests.
