Course on the Enforcement of the Road Transport Act 1987 (Act 333) by Local Authority Traffic Wardens

The Centre for Legal Understanding and Enforcement Studies, Housing and Local Government Training Institute (I-KPKT), organised the Course on the Enforcement of the Road Transport Act 1987 (Act 333) by Local Authority Traffic Wardens on 15 April 2025. This course was conducted online and was attended by Local Authority (PBT) staff nationwide. The speaker for the course was Mr Mohd Irwan Bin Mat from the Legal and Prosecution Department of Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL).

The course was designed to train PBT traffic wardens on enforcement aspects of the Road Transport Act 1987 [Act 333], focusing on traffic regulations, enforcement procedures, and their role in maintaining road safety within their respective administrative areas. It also aimed to strengthen the wardens’ understanding of their responsibilities and powers under the provisions of this law.
