Course on the Service of Summonses and Execution of Warrants of Arrest
I-KPKT, under the Centre for Legislative Understanding and Enforcement Studies, organised the Course on the Service of Summonses and Execution of Warrants of Arrest. This course was delivered by the Assistant Legal Officer of Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL), Mr Mohd Irwan bin Mat, assisted by Mr Muhammad Aiman bin Maarof, Head of the Centre for Legislative Understanding and Enforcement Studies, acting as the moderator. Kursus ini telah disampaikan oleh Penolong Pegawai Undang-Undang Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur (DBKL), iaitu Encik Mohd Irwan bin Mat, sambil dibantu oleh Encik Muhammad Aiman bin Maarof, Ketua Pusat Pengajian Pemahaman Perundangan dan Penguatkuasaan, selaku moderator.
Course Objectives
This course was held to expose participants to the correct methods and understanding regarding the procedures for writing notices and notifications of offences based on relevant legal provisions. At the end of the course, participants are expected to be able to:
- List the procedures for the service of summonses and the execution of warrants of arrest in an orderly manner.
- Identify the differences between a summons and a warrant of arrest according to legal provisions.
Attendance and Response
This four-hour course received a highly encouraging response with the attendance of over 400 participants from Local Authorities (PBT) across Malaysia as well as relevant government agencies.
