Course on Managing Sexual Harassment in the Workplace

The Housing and Local Government Training Institute (I-KPKT), under The Centre for Legal Understanding and Enforcement Studies, organised the Course on Managing Sexual Harassment in the Workplace. This course was held to raise awareness among the Local Authority (PBT) workforce regarding the negative impact of sexual harassment on individuals, organisations, and departmental reputation. Additionally, it provided clear guidelines on complaint channels, internal investigation procedures, and protection for complainants. Kursus ini diadakan bagi memberikan kesedaran kepada warga kerja PBT tentang kesan negatif gangguan seksual terhadap individu, organisasi, serta reputasi jabatan.

The course was attended by nearly 300 participants from PBTs across Malaysia. It was delivered by Mrs Maemuna Binti Abidin, Head of the Psychology Management Unit at KPKT, covering the topic of Sexual Harassment from a Psychological Perspective, while the legal and disciplinary perspectives were presented by Mrs Nor Azlin Binti Abdullah from the Integrity Unit at KPKT.
