MoU Between I-KPKT and Public Universities

The Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT), through the Housing and Local Government Training Institute (I-KPKT), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with three leading public universities: Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), and the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). The ceremony was held at I-KPKT, Bukit Tinggi, this morning.

The MoU signing ceremony was represented by the Secretary-General of KPKT, YBhg. Datuk Wira M Noor Azman bin Taib; the Vice-Chancellor of UUM, YBhg. Professor Dato’ Dr. Mohd Fo’ad Sakdan; the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of UiTM, YBhg. Prof. TPr. Dr. Jamalunlaili Abdullah; and the Deputy Rector for Research, Innovation and Development of IIUM, YBrs. Prof. Dr. Mohamed Aslam bin Mohamed Haneef. The MoU was witnessed by the Deputy Minister of Housing and Local Government, YB Datuk Hajah Aiman Athirah binti Sabu.

This MoU is seen as an effort to strengthen the housing and local government sectors together with education agencies in our country. It aims to drive the progress of I-KPKT as a training institute under KPKT which plays an important role in providing training to officers and staff of Local Authorities (PBT) and related agencies throughout the country.
