Upholding the National Language: I-KPKT Staff Make History in The Malaysia Book of Records for Largest Simultaneous Use of Kamus Dewan Perdana
The Housing and Local Government Training Institute (I-KPKT) scripted its own milestone by contributing to the success of The Malaysia Book of Records (MBOR) recognition initiative under the category “Largest Participation in a Dictionary Reference Programme” (Largest Simultaneous Use of Kamus Dewan Perdana), held in conjunction with the 2026 Serambi Budi Daya Munsyi Muda Bahasa Programme on 26 October 2026.

Organised jointly by the National Institute of Public Administration (INTAN) and Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka (DBP), this nationwide initiative was conducted online, bringing together 2,345 participants, comprising 2,106 attendees and 239 Munsyi Muda Bahasa facilitators from various ministries and public service departments across the country.
Facilitator Leadership and Active Participation of I-KPKT Staff
I-KPKT takes great pride in the involvement of the Head of the Centre for Legal Understanding and Enforcement Studies, Mr Muhamad Aiman bin Maarof, who served as a Munsyi Muda Bahasa facilitator, guiding the virtual breakout room for the institute’s participants throughout the programme.

During the session, which ran from 10.30 am to 12.30 pm, I-KPKT officers demonstrated commendable commitment by presenting live proof of vocabulary lookups via the digital Kamus Dewan Perdana application for designated words such as Inayat, Kendatipun, and Jubli on their respective screens.

Strengthening the Culture of Authoritative Language Reference in Government Administration
This historic milestone was officially sealed with the presentation of The Malaysia Book of Records certificate of recognition on 28 October 2026 in honour of the successful record-setting feat.
This initiative not only established a new national record, but also reinforced the practice of consulting authoritative dictionaries among civil servants. Such continuous efforts uphold linguistic precision, legal terminology, and standard Malay grammar in the official administrative affairs of the public service.
