Centre for Legislative Understanding and Enforcement Studies

INTRODUCTION

The Centre for Legislative Understanding and Enforcement Studies provides training to Local Authorities (PBT) as well as civil servants from public sectors/agencies related to the fields of Law and Enforcement, specifically for service schemes Grade L and KP. This study centre equips them with knowledge, skills, exposure, and specific theoretical and practical training in the field of Legal management and the correct procedures for PBT enforcement. Additionally, this centre exposes participants to the roles, duties, and responsibilities of officers in handling issues related to PBT legal management and enforcement. Such exposure contributes to management that is efficient, more systematic, of high integrity, and more competent in handling tasks related to legal and enforcement practices.

OBJECTIVE

  1. To enhance the understanding, knowledge, skills, and expertise of course participants involved hands-on in carrying out the roles and functions of planning, implementation, enforcement, and legal regulation.
  2. To ensure legal management and enforcement are always at a high benchmark and satisfy the community of the Ministry of Housing and Local Government and PBTs.
  3. To ensure every course participant utilises all relevant Acts/Policies/Guidelines/By-laws to ensure duties are executed according to the established clauses.
