INTRODUCTION
The Centre for Local Government Studies is a centre that focuses on training development and the service quality of Local Authorities (PBT) in Malaysia, in line with the PBT Transformation Plan, which is the Ministry of Housing and Local Government’s (KPKT) objective for PBTs in Malaysia. Training implementation encompasses the dissemination of information regarding policies, guidelines, and advisory services to PBTs concerning building safety and stability; the implementation of training programmes related to environmental cleanliness and public health activities associated with PBTs; the strengthening of laws, policies, and circulars related to Cabinet and MNKT decisions for uniform adoption by PBTs; as well as providing and conducting training on computerised information systems for implementation by local governments.
